Young Island Resort is a Four Star luxury hideaway on a thirty-five acre island 200 yards off the coast of St. Vincent. Thirty private cottages are scattered along a hillside, or on the beach. There are a restaurant and bar, tennis court, a lagoon-style pool, and a white sand beach. Guests reach Young Island from St. Vincent Airport. A taxi/ferry transfer is arranged to meet incoming flights.
There are hammocks under thatched roofs for reading and napping in the shade. Windsurfers, small sailboats, glass bottom boat, snorkel equipment and use of the tennis court are complimentary to guests. Water skiing and scuba diving can be arranged for an extra charge. The ultimate "Robinson Crusoe" hideaway, an 'islanders' island", are appropriate descriptions of Young Island. One of the first whole island resorts, Young Island is located just 200 yards off the south coast of St. Vincent in the southern Caribbean.
ROOMS
Deluxe Cottages are freestanding and have a sitting area in the bedroom. There is one king or two twin beds. Deluxe cottages are higher on the hillside. Luxury Cottages have a bedroom with two queen beds, a sitting room, and a large terrace. They are high on the hillside with panoramic ocean views. Luxury Pool Suites are on the beach with a private plunge pool, and a king bed.
All cottages have a refrigerator, hair dryer, wall safe, ceiling fan, private garden shower and a king bed. Accommodations have ocean views and private, furnished terraces. There are two Superior Rooms in each cottage. Each room has one king or two twin beds. The Superior rooms are nearest the beach, shoreline and are low on the hillside.
Facilities and Dining
Sail, play tennis, snooze in a hammock, swim, snorkel, or scuba dive to fill up your lazy days.The atmosphere in the dining areas, whether nestled by the beach or amidst the foliage near the beachside bar is informal. Meals prepared in traditional West Indian style are splendid. Special events include steel band entertainment, barbecues, and buffets like you have never seen.
