Exclusive accommodation, nestled on an island named Paradise is a luxurious retreat of rare beauty - an exclusive sanctuary with sapphire skies and turquoise waters. Nearby, Atlantis offers other alluring options for entertainment and adventure. Once a private estate, One&Only Ocean Club rests between miles of pristine beach and exquisite gardens inspired by the romantic grandeur of Versailles. Fragrant blossoms of hibiscus and bougainvillea, along with hand-laid rock ridges and stone steps, ascend the terraced garden decorated with bronze and marble statues from Europe. At its apex stand the dramatic arches of a 12th-century Augustinian cloister that boasts a spectacular view of the sunset over Nassau Harbour. The resort is located on the eastern end of Paradise Island, a 40-minute drive from the Nassau International Airport.
ROOMS
The 106 rooms, including fourteen suites and five two-bedroom garden cottages, all reflect the elegance of European tradition from the carefully reproduced antique furnishings to the chintz fabrics and ceiling fans. All well adapted to the flavour of the tropics.
The rooms in the main building have central air-conditioning, indoor ceiling fans, outdoor ceiling fans on spacious balconies or patios, safes, mini-bars and televisions. The powder room is all you would expect from a European luxury hotel; imported marble, tile vanities, bidets, bathrobes, scales, irons and ironing boards, complimentary bottled water, soaps and toiletries. The rooms are quite elegant and comfortable.
The Crescent Wing, which features 40 new oceanfront rooms (630 and 660 sq. ft.) and 10 suites (1250 sq. ft.) that are located among five two-story buildings, each with a private balcony or terrace. The Hartford Wing features 50 rooms (450 sq. ft), four suites (950 sq. ft.) and five two-bedroom Garden Cottages.
Facilities and Dining
Unlimited tennis enjoyed in a private club atmosphere, (four lit for evening play), on-staff pro and private lessons offered. There's a Pro shop with racquet rentals and full line of apparel and accessories. An 18-hole championship course. Swimming pool for guests refreshment. Ocean Club features miles of ocean and pristine beach. You'll also find a variety of watersports including Aquacat sailing, kayaking, and snorkelling available on property. Scuba diving lessons and certification is offered at nearby Atlantis. Bicycles are available for complimentary use for exploring the island. Fitness room with state-of-the-art Nautilus weight-training and cardio-vascular equipment. Ocean Club Spa by Mandara opened at the resort. The Spa features a full-service salon plus eight private spa suites and a private garden-view air-conditioned pavilion designed so guests may enjoy all of their facial, body and beauty treatments in the same suite.
Complimentary shuttle transportation on Paradise Island is provided to guests as are the facilities and casino at sister resort, Atlantis, Paradise Island.
Guest services consist of airport transfers via town car, butler service, daily fruit bowl and afternoon champagne and strawberries delivered to guest rooms, laptops available for guest use, nightly turndown service, shoe shine service, CD and DVD library, thrice-daily maid service, laundry and dry cleaning, dining and recreational planning and reservations.
