Overlooking the emerald Caribbean Sea, this 2.5-acre resort sits amid lush tropical gardens, edged by the silken white sands of Maxell Beach on the south coast of Barbados.
Recently expanded, Bougainvillea now has 138 luxurious studios & suites, all with kitchens. The spacious rooms are beautifully designed with cool Caribbean colors and include all of the amenities needed for comfort and convenience. There are three swimming pools, two are free form and meander through the tropical gardens and rock formations, one of these has a swim-up bar where you can enjoy refreshing tropical cocktails, the other mini-waterfalls and a children's wading pool. The third pool is a lap pool, which also has a small children's wading section.
Bougainvillea has two beachfront restaurants, Lanterns by the Sea for casual dining or Water's Edge Restaurant offering a gourmet à la carte selection and fine dining service.
