| Biras Creek Resort |
| Virgin Gorda |
Within the British Virgin Islands, Biras Creek is located on a strip of land between two hills on a 140 acre peninsula. It can only be reached by boat. The property touches three distinct bodies of water: the enormous protected lagoon of North Sound, the open Atlantic Ocean, and a Caribbean bay -- a paradise for swimming, boating and snorkelling, backed by the resort's private white sand beach.
ROOMS Suites are scattered along Berchers Bay on the Atlantic shore, plus nine suites through the landscaped garden. Two Grand Suites have panoramic windows facing the sea, oversized terraces, and sunken bathtubs plus large showers.
All are decorated in bright Caribbean colours. An oceanside Premier Suite has a magnificent living room separating two large bedrooms each with a large bathroom/dressing area and a private porch overlooking the seashore. Twenty-one Ocean Suites are positioned along the water's edge, enjoying uninterrupted views of the sea from their bedrooms and private verandahs.
Nine Garden Suites are set back from the coast and are scattered in the gardens behind the Ocean Suites. They enjoy fleeting views of the Atlantic ocean through the vegetation. All Ocean and Garden Suites are identical in size and layout, each with over 475 square feet of interior space. Three cottages have interconnecting suites to make a two bedroom, two bathroom unit.
All suites have the following facilites: sitting room, separate air-conditioned bedroom, ceiling fans, direct dial telephone with computer jack, CD player, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, in-room safe, furnished veranda and bicycles.
Facilities and Dining The hub of the property is a hill-top stone "castle", holding the reception area, dining room, and bar. Tucked in nooks and crannies are a chess den and library. Yoga, health and fitness treatments: stimulating Indian Massage, deluxe theraputic Decleor Treatments for head to toe rejuvenation.
The restaurant and terrace bar are at the highest levels giving breathtaking views of the Sound through its "open walls." In the evening, diners sit at candle-lit tables, looking out over the sunset, selecting from an award winning cuisine menu and an excellent selection of wines. Nearby are a snooker room, and the Arawak Pavilion with its big screen DVD and lounge chairs for reading, relaxing, and enjoying spectacular sunsets and vistas over the North Sound.
